Missions Christmas Tree

Once again we have put up our Christmas Tree at the back of the auditorium to collect money to give to the orphanages we support in the Sudan and Cambodia, as well as the aboriginal work in Darwin.

Christmas is a time when we gather with those we love and we give and receive gifts.  Our giving to the orphans extends Father's love to them and is a practical expression that acknowledges that they are no longer orphans and that they now belong to a family.

Last year with the contributions that were made, we were able to put on a feast for 310 people (children and staff) at the three locations, buy pretty dresses for the girls, tee-shirts for the boys and small gifts for everyone.

This year we want to do more and want to extend our giving to other regions such as East Timor and Sri Lanka.  Let's take up the challenge!

Just grab a coloured envelope, pop your money inside and put it into the gift box under the tree.
